A New Inspiration from Medicine:

As a general surgery resident there is not a lot of time to devote to art. Although the environment might not be conducive to anything other than studying and working, Michael makes sure to set time aside every week devoted to his passion for the arts. His inspirations have changed to include uniting the arts and sciences within his own artwork. The new series that is currently being produced unites anatomical drawings with nineteenth and eighteenth century literature. The books were purchased throughout France and Europe and Michael has been using them as an aid to express the idea of uniting the physical-anatomical form with the literary. This melding of arts, science, and history has been well received in the art community.
